After spending close to the last 30 years in his two-acre estate in Los Angeles’ Brentwood neighborhood, Jim Carrey is ready to say goodbye.

The Canadian purchased the property, which spans 12,700 square feet, in 1994 for $3.8 million according to The Post.

However, the time has come for a change as the house has been put on the market for $28.9 million.

“For three decades it’s been a sanctuary for me but I don’t spend a lot of time there now and I want someone else to enjoy it like I have,” Carrey told The Post.

“Cha cha cha cha … Changes!” he added in reference to the David Bowie song.

What Carrey’s property has to offer

The listing is held by Janelle Friedman of Sotheby’s International Realty.

The one-story ranch home, which Carrey bought right before the release of his first major hit, ‘Ace Ventura: Pet Detective’, is situated on two acres and behind 280 feet of hedged frontage in Brentwood.

It features polished brick and hardwood floors, along with pitched and beamed ceilings, while glass doors open to the courtyard patio.

The chef’s kitchen has a breakfast room that looks out onto pear trees situated outside the windows.

As for the primary suite, it features a sitting area, fireplace, balcony and wood-paneled bathroom that has its own fireplace and soaking tub.

The property also features a tennis court, gazebo, spa, waterfall pool and an outdoor platform that provides the perfect setting for yoga and meditation, as well as a pool house with its own separate infrared sauna and steam room.

Carrey’s house has a personal touch to it

Carrey is best known for films like ‘The Mask’, ‘Dumb and Dumber’ and ‘Liar Liar’, and most recently starred in ‘Sonic the Hedgehog’.

Known for his big personality, the home is infused with some touches that make it unmistakably his.

A custom Art Deco-style home theater is furnished with mohair-covered sofas and a snack area. In it, Carrey has several costumes from his films in glass cases on the walls.

They include a set of overalls from ‘The Cable Guy’ and the Santa Clause costume he wore in ‘The Grinch’. In an adjacent area, Carrey has some of his trophies from the MTV Movie & TV Awards, as well as his Riddler costume from ‘Batman Forever’.
