Jon Bon Jovi convinces woman in Nashville to not jump from a bridge
Jon Bon Jovi talked a woman out of jumping from a bridge in Nashville Tennessee, as he happened to be filming a music video for his song “People’s House.”
Jon Bon Jovi played the hero in Nashville, Tennessee, when he convinced a woman not to jump off a bridge.
He was shooting a music video for his song “People’s House” on the John Seigenthaler pedestrian bridge in Music City when he and his crew noticed a woman holding on to the bridge’s handrails. She stood on the outer ledge of the bridge and appeared to be preparing to jump off it.
A video of the incident shows the rock star approaching the woman slowly, then stopping a few feet away from her. Bon Jovi then starts talking to her before continuing his approach along with another bystander.
It is unclear what the singer and the other person told the individual, but they appear to have convinced her to get off the ledge and move to the main part of the bridge. They both help her get over the side of the railing.

Jon Bon Jovi: trained in interacting with people in crisis
The rock legend is said to have had extensive training on how to deal with people in crisis through his work with his foundation, the Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation.
The Nashville Fire Department and the Metro Nashville Police Department both responded to the incident, with the police lauding Bon Jovi on his quick response to the situation.
“It takes all of us to help keep each other safe,” said Nashville Police Chief John Drake.
According to Page Six, their source says the singer would not be issuing a statement on the matter out of respect for the woman who was in a vulnerable and anguished condition.
