Kanye West says he is retiring from music
Kanye West told rapper Rich The Kid that he is retiring from professional music saying he’s “not sure what else to do.”
Rapper Kanye West, who now goes by the name Ye, has stated that he is retiring from professional music, according to a message shared by Rich The Kid.
This Tuesday, RTK shared a screenshot of a recent message exchange he had with Ye on Instagram.“I am retiring from professional music. Not sure what else to do,” Kanye allegedly wrote.
In the image you can also see Rich The Kid’s response: “Retire? Why? How? [People] NEED you, the music you & Ty & we have made was the BIGGEST STAMP in culture to date... in 2024... Maybe some time to chill but retiring ain’t it.”
The Rich Kid deleted the text message exchange about Ye's alleged retirement from his Instagram Story about half an hour after originally posting it.
A source close to the situation has told TMZ Hip Hop that Ye feels like he’s being sucked dry after putting so much heart, soul, time and energy into the music industry.

When will Vulture 2 be released?
Ye's message about his retirement from music comes as the long-awaited second part of Vultures has no release date.
Ye and Ty Dolla $ign’s album Vultures 1 topped the charts when it was released in February. However, the promised second and third volumes have not yet been published nor has a possible release date been confirmed despite the fact that Ty Dolla $ign has indicated that all the songs on the second album are complete.
It was previously expected to premiere in May. However, the only clue we currently have is that Ye and Ty have announced a Vultures listening event, which is scheduled to be held in Korea on August 23 at Goyang Stadium.
