Singer-songwriter Keith Urban attended Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras Tour’ concert in Philadelphia alongside his wife Nicole Kidman as well as Jennifer Lawrence and Phoebe Bridgers.

Urban posted a video to TikTok of himself and Kidman enjoying the concert and captioned the post, “We love ya,” and tagged Swift.

“We had a great time,” Urban later told People Magazine. “It’s an amazing show. I knew it would be, but it’s a whole other level. I mean, she’s absolutely at the top of her game. This tour is just the best of the best.”

Urban on Swift re-recording her songs

Swift signed with the record label Big Machine as 14 years old and according to the singer, her old manager, Scooter Braun held the ownership of her first six albums. What Swift didn’t know at the time is that by signing with Big Machine, she was relinquishing the rights to her music.

Luckily, Swift has been with Republic Records since 2018 and they’ve allowed the 33-year-old to retain the rights to her new songs. Thus, by re-recording her old songs under this new contract, Swift can claim ownership of them.

Urban, who appeared on a new track for the re-release of Swift’s 2008 album now dubbed ‘Fearless (Taylor’s Version)’, has gone on record to praise Swift’s decision to re-record her songs.

“It’s amazing,” he said. “I mean, look, she’s not the first artist that’s rerecorded old songs, but she’s done it in such a way where she’s been able to get her fans to get on board with these versions.

“All the fans know why she’s done it, and more power to her as far as taking artistic control.”

Urban on his Las Vegas residency

Urban will be performing at the Zappos Theater at the Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas as per his residency there. When asked if there was a difference between the Las Vegas crowds and the international crowds, Urban said, “It doesn’t feel any different to any gig I’ve ever done.

“I came up playing in the clubs and bars as a teenager, where nobody gave a crap that you were on stage, and if anything, you were kind of almost annoying that you were up there. So walking out to people that you have to get going is kind of how I’m wired.

“And even with that Vegas audience, who’ve all bought tickets to come in and be a part of this, I still come out swinging, thinking, like, I’m back in the clubs, and we got to get this room on fire.”
