The Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards is an American annual awards ceremony show produced by Nickelodeon and honors the year’s biggest stars in television, film, music, and sports as voted by viewers worldwide of Nickelodeon networks. Winners receive a hollow orange blimp figurine which also functions as a kaleidoscope.

The ceremony also features live musical guests and is infamous for covering people with the network’s trademark green slime.

SpongeBob SquarePants has won the most KCA awards, with twenty overall through the series’ run and on an individual basis, Selena Gomez has won the most trophies with twelve, followed by Will Smith and Adam Sandler (both with 11), as well as Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande (both with 9).

Veteran actress Whoopi Goldberg is the only person to have won a Kids’ Choice Award alongside the prevailing “EGOT” combination of an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony.

Rosie O’Donnell has hosted the show eight times, followed by Jack Black who hosted three times, as well as Candace Cameron, Whitney Houston, and John Cena who each hosted twice.

2024 KCA’s

The 37th Annual Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards ceremony will be held on 13 July, 2024, at Pauley Pavilion in Los Angeles, California and is set to be the first show to take place in July instead of the traditional months of March or April.

This year’s event will be dedicated to the 25th anniversary of SpongeBob SquarePants, and the ceremony itself will be hosted by the title character, and Patrick Star, with Tom Kenny and Bill Fagerbakke reprising their roles, marking the first time the ceremony has been hosted by a virtual host. It will also be “presented in an animated environment with graphic effects and modern augmented reality.”

The Kid Laroi is the musical guest for the show in LA with 33 awards on offer during the evening.
