Lady Gaga made a surprise appearance at the 2023 Oscars after the singer previously stated she wouldn’t be able to perform due to scheduling conflicts with the newest ‘Joker′ film.

But while walking on the champagne-colored carpet, the ‘Born this Way’ singer was seen rushing to help a photographer who had fallen while taking pictures of the stars as they made their way into the Dolby Theater.

Lady Gaga rushing to help

An attendee in the audience captured the moment when the singer, in a stunning black Versace gown, was making her way toward the Dolby Theater before a crashing sound was heard, and people audibly gasped as the singer turned and rushed toward a photographer who had just fallen.

Gaga asked the photographer if he was okay before he skirted his way around her, and the singer turned back towards the theater.

That was very nice of you!” someone said to the singer as she walked away.

Gaga at the Oscars

The ‘Bloody Mary’ artist was nominated for an Oscar this year for the song ‘Hold My Hand’ from the ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ film starring Tom Cruise.

Gaga has now been nominated for four Oscars. Beginning in 2016, she was nominated for her song ‘’Til It Happens to You’ from the documentary ‘The Hunting Ground’. In 2019, she was nominated for an Oscar in two categories, one for Best Actress for her role in the film ‘A Star is Born’ and for Best Song for ‘Shallow’ with ‘A Star is Born’ costar Bradley Cooper, winning the Best Song Oscar that year.

At the 2023 Oscars, she delivered a toned-down rendition of ‘Hold My Hand’, which she put together at the last minute to the delight of fans.

Gaga is steadily making her way in the world of film

While the singer has a considerable discography under her belt, she has been seen making her way in the world of acting, most notably for her roles in the ‘American Horror’ franchise, and films ‘A Star is Born’, and ‘House of Gucci’.

In the upcoming film ‘Joker: Folie à Deux’, she plays Harley Quinn. The film is set to be released in theaters on October 4, 2024.
