Lauren London has revealed she had more of an important role in the ‘Drop it Like it’s Hot’ Snoop Dogg music video than previously portrayed.

In a recent interview on ‘The After Show with Andy Cohen’, the actress was asked by a fan, who was virtually invited on screen from Trinidad and Tobago, what her favorite memory was from starring in Snoop Dogg’s music video for ‘Drop it Like It’s Hot.’

“Fun fact about that video, I was actually the assistant to the director, who was directing that video. Which is why I was there,” London replied.

“I had to help cast it because whatever was happening with the budget. So I cast half of my friends, like 10 friends are in the video.

“It was great, my cousins are in it, my friends are in it.

Cohen then asked if she joined Snoop Dogg for a smoking session, to which London replied while laughing: “I’ve smoked with [him] before yeah.”

Singer-songwriter Candiace Dillard Bassett, who joined London for the interview, also replied after laughing.

“He sat behind me at the ‘Power’ Premier and the contact high was immediate,” she said.

Celebrating her accompanying guest’s latest achievements

American reporter April Ryans joined the two women as she promoted her new book ‘Black Women Will Save the World,’ which was released in October.

The book’s official overview reads as: “Celebration of Black women’s resilience and unheralded strength, the revered, trailblazing White House correspondent reflects on “The Year That Changed Everything” 2020 and African-American women’s unprecedented role in upholding democracy.”

London’s appearance comes just over a week after her latest movie ‘You People’ was released. The movie stars her, Jonah Hill, and Eddie Murphy, which is a comedy focusing on an interracial couple and how their families reckon with their modern love.

‘You People’ was released in select theaters before its official Netflix release on January 27, 2023.

Candiace’s upcoming T.V. drama

Bassett has also been a hot topic recently with an upcoming ‘The Real Housewives of Potomac’ Season 7 reunion, which aired on January 29, 2023. In an earlier segment of ‘Watch What Happens Live,’ also with Andy Cohen, Basset teased the premiere.

“I think you’ll be pleased. You’ll be surprised and pleased,” she said, explaining that costar Mia Thornton will be in “the hot seat” throughout the episode.
