“Donald Trump continues to deny the facts. He continues to deny the science. He withdrew the United States from the Paris Climate Accords and rolled back critical environmental protections.”

Hollywood A-lister, and US citizen with one vote like everyone else, Leonardo DiCaprio couldn’t have been clearer in his criticism of the Republican candidate in the upcoming US presidential election, now just over a week away.

More election news:

DiCaprio focused on fairer future for all

“Now he’s promised the oil and gas industry that he’ll get rid of any regulation they want in exchange for a billion-dollar donation.”

As with Trump‘s statements about getting the world’s richest man, Elon Musk, involved in his government, it seems like him winning the election is going to be a goldmine for those already very wealthy. And that‘s often what leads to the rest of everyday Americans seeing the gap widen even more than it already is. And it’s huge.

But DiCaprio – a man with millions in the bank himself – is focused more on the future for others, saving the planet and creating more jobs in the process.

“Climate change is killing the earth and ruining our economy. We need a bold step forward to save our economy, our planet and ourselves. That’s why I’m voting for Kamala Harris.”

“Join me in voting for Kamala Harris on November 5, because we cannot afford to go backwards,” DiCaprio said, something he hopes will be actioned by all those looking for a better and cleaner future.
