“Life of a Showgirl” collaborations: These are the artists Taylor Swift has confirmed will collaborate on the 12th album
With Taylor Swift’s appearance on “New Heights”, we learned a lot more about her 12th studio album “The Life of a Showgirl”, including the collabs.
The life of a showgirl must be fascinating, exhilarating, and exhausting. And Taylor Swift lives that life exceptionally well. A mastermind at keeping her fans entertained, Swift has been leaving clues about her songs, albums, and plans for years now.
Her latest genius was the tease of the release of a new studio album, and after months of speculating, she officially announced TS12. First doing so through an episode teaser of her boyfriend Travis Kelce’s podcast, “New Heights”, Swift gave us just the name of the new album - “The Life of a Showgirl”. We had to wait until the full podcast came out the next day to learn more.
“The Life of a Showgirl” will feature these guest artists
Swift’s appearance on the “New Heights” podcast came with double excitement. Obviously, fans are excited to learn about her newest album, but getting to see her and Travis interact may have been the best part, as we’ve only ever been given glimpses into their lives from photos, and no real indication of what their chemistry is like - until now.
Of course, Travis and his brother Jason were Tay’s biggest hype men, with Jason’s introduction having said it all. And Travis can’t help but gush over his “sweetie” and her seemingly endless talents.
On the “New Heights” podcast, Swift revealed the cover of the album, which had been blurred out before, the release date, and the collaborations on the album.
“The Life of a Showgirl” will be released on October 3, 2025.
Ahead of the podcast, fans speculated that Sabrina Carpenter and Lady Gaga would be collaborators on the album.
Fans began connecting the dots after Swift liked a tweet pointing out that Gaga’s single “Applause” was released exactly 12 years before Taylor announced her 12th studio album. Notably, “Applause” was also played before Swift’s entrance during every Eras Tour show - a detail many now believe was a long-planned Easter egg. However, she will not be on “The Life of a Showgirl”, but perhaps she’ll be on another future album.
Meanwhile, Sabrina Carpenter, who opened for Swift on tour, will indeed appear on the new album. Much speculation had surrounded Carpenter’s contribution to the new album... and it turns out the Swifties were right.
