Lil Wayne has announced a 2023 spring tour that will take him through much of the United States, as well as one stop in Canada.

The 28-date ‘Welcome to Tha Carter Tour’ will begin in Minnesota on April 4, before wrapping up in Los Angeles in mid-May.

Most of the dates will take the rapper through the United States, though there is one stop in Toronto, Canada on April 12.

Tickets go on sale Friday, February 3. An artist pre-sale saw some tickets available from Tuesday at noon ET, while Live Nation and Ticketmaster pre-sales started on Wednesday at 10 am local time for each venue.

Lil Wayne at the Grammys

Before setting out on tour, Lil Wayne will receive a Global Impact Award at the 2023 Grammys for his “personal and professional achievements in the music industry.”

He’s slated to receive the award from the Black Music Collective alongside Missy Elliott, Dr. Dre and Epic Records CEO Sylvia Rhone.

His most recent album, ‘Funeral’, was released in 2020. Since then he’s joined Rich the Kid for the collaborative mixtape ‘Trust Fund Babies’ in 2021.

He’s also featured on songs by Latto and Run the Jewels.
