Actress Lindsay Lohan has become a mother. The ‘Mean Girls’ star has welcomed her first child at age 37, along with her husband, Bader Shammas.

The news was first delivered by Page Six, and was later confirmed by a spokesperson for the actress and the 36-year-old Kuwaiti banker.

“Lindsay Lohan and her husband, Bader Shammas, have welcomed a beautiful and healthy son named Luai. The family is overwhelmed with love,” said the spokesperson.

With the arrival of the little one, the two have expanded the family after saying ‘I do’ one year ago, at a secret wedding that took place in April last year. Lohan first announced her pregnancy in March 2023.

A name of Arabic origin

The couple have chosen an interesting name for their new baby: Luai. It is an Arabic name that means ‘strong’.

Although the spokesperson did not provide any further information regarding the birth, according to the TMZ portal, the child would have come into the world in Dubai, where Lohan and her husband have established their residence for several years. The ‘Parent Trap’ actress was believed to have moved to escape from the press in Hollywood, who often gave her negative media coverage, portraying her as a hardcore party girl.
