Talks of an ‘Entourage’ reboot are nothing new, and Mark Wahlberg is one of several people who would be happy to see the HBO hit make a comeback.

The show, which ran from 2004 to 2001, received positive reviews from critics during its run.

It was also nominated for 26 Primetime Emmy Awards, winning six in categories such as acting, directing, writing and for an Outstanding Comedy Series.

Wahlberg throws his support behind a reboot

Wahlberg, who served as a co-executive producer on the show that was loosely based on his experiences as an up-and-coming star, would support a reboot.

“I don’t know if that’s going to happen but I would definitely support it,” Wahlberg told Page Six at the grand opening of Tao’s restaurant Cathédrale at the Aria Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.

“I was always sad to see the show end.”

Jeremy Piven’s performance as agent Ari Gold and Kevin Dillon as Johnny Chase received praise from critics throughout the show’s run, but Wahlberg feels all the cast members added to the show.

“They did an amazing job,” he said, while discussing how he made sure they had chemistry before the show began shooting.

“Before we shot the pilot, I brought all the guys to Vegas… It was a bit of a chemistry thing, getting ready to come and cut loose. It seems like it was just yesterday, and now I live here.”

As for what a reboot might look like, Wahlberg admits it likely wouldn’t involve as much partying as the first show.

“It would look like an older group of guys probably doing things more like me, going to church and you know hopefully having families and getting up early and working out,” Wahlberg added.

“Might not be as exciting as when they were running the night clubs and running all around Vegas.”

Wahlberg isn’t the only person who has discussed a potential reboot.

Just last month, Piven told E! News that he would be interested in seeing where the characters are today.

“It would be fun to investigate where all these people would be today,” said Piven.

“There’s been so much that has happened since then that it’d be a very fertile ground to explore.”

As for Dillon, he told Comingsoon.net in 2022: “I would love to do it, and I’m pretty sure everyone in the cast would love to do it and I’d push it all the time.”
