Marvel Studios give new details about the upcoming ‘The Fantastic Four’ movie
Kevin Feige has spoken about the return of the popular superhero group.
Kevin Feige, the president of Marvel Studios, has spoken about the long-awaited new ‘Fantastic Four’ film, highlighting that it will be set in the 60s and will be set in a alternative universe to which the Marvel Cinematic Universe is located today.
Some statements made in ‘The Official Marvel Podcast’ and that have taken many by surprise, not because of the fact that it is set in the past, something that could be guessed from the style of the promotional images, but because of the alternative universe in which will be located and if this means that what we see will remain apart from the rest of the body of the current MCU.
The Fantastic Four will be ‘a period movie’
“It’s a period movie, and there was a picture we published with Johnny Storm flying in the air making a 4 symbol. There was a cityscape in the corner of that picture, and there were a lot of smart people who realized that that landscape urban did not exactly resemble the New York we know, or the New York that existed in the 60s in our world. “They are very, very intelligent observations,” Feige stated in the podcast.
The CEO of Marvel Studios confirmed that the filming will begin on Monday July 29 once the San Diego Comic-Con has come to an end.
Directed by Matt Shakman, little is known about the upcoming project that will be part of Marvel’s ‘Phase 4′. It will be released alongisde, according to IMDB, with the sequels Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022) and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (2023), The Marvels (2023), as well as reboots of Blade (2025) and X-Men.
The popular superhero quartet returns with a cast of today’s leading actors. Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn and Ebon Moss-Bachrach will lead the film, also featuring Julia Garner as the Silver Surfer and Ralph Ineson as Galactus.
