It’s been nearly a year since the tragic passing of Matthew Perry, a popular figure in American television and one of the stars of the iconic and long-running series, Friends, where he captivated millions as Chandler Bing. His death shocked the world and deeply affected his co-stars, who remembered him with messages full of affection, highlighting his kindness.

Details about the cause of his death emerged with the autopsy results revealing that he drowned in his jacuzzi at Pacific Palisades in Los Angeles, under the influence of ketamine.

Another aspect that has drawn significant attention from his millions of fans is the actor’s estate. Recent revelations from The US Sun, which gained access to judicial documents filed in June, suggest that Perry’s fortune was larger than previously thought. According to the report, the actor had an estate valued at over $1.596 million. Additionally, this figure does not include the $120 million already placed in a trust created in 2009.

The heirs to Matthew Perry’s riches

The substantial sum of money left by Perry will be distributed among various individuals, including his parents, John Perry and Suzanne Morrison, his stepsister Caitlin Morrison, and his ex-girlfriend Rachel Dunn, with whom he was romantically involved from 2003 to 2004 and maintained a friendly relationship thereafter.

Matthew and Rachel met after the Friends actor ended his relationship with Maeve Quinlan. Their relationship quickly captured media attention due to her being relatively unknown and the significant age difference between them; he was 35 and she was 19 at the time.

According to legal documents pertaining to his estate, these individuals are the designated heirs to Perry’s fortune, and his will specifies that his inheritance will not go to anyone not named in the testament.
