Matty Healy teased Taylor Swift dating rumors
The 1975 frontman hinted at the rumors while performing over the weekend.
While Taylor Swift and Matty Healy have yet to publicly comment on their reported romance, that didn’t stop The 1975 frontman from hinting at it over the weekend.
During The 1975′s performance at BBC Radio 1′s Big Weekend music festival, Healy had some fun with the crowd by hinting at the dating rumors.
“Is it all a bit? Is it sincere? Will he ever address it?” he asked the crowd. “All of these questions and more will be ignored in the next hour. Ladies and gentlemen, this is The 1975.”
The dating rumors involving the two began at the beginning of May after Healy was spotted at one of Swift’s Eras Tour concerts in Nashville.
His appearance came after The Sun reported the two are an item following Swift’s split from Joe Alwyn after six years.
“It’s super-early days, but it feels right,” an insider told the outlet. “They first dated, very briefly, almost 10 years ago but the timings just didn’t work out.”
The insider added that while Swift and Alwyn’s breakup was made public in April, they actually split back in February, and that there was no crossover.
“Both Matty and Taylor have been touring over the past few weeks, so it’s been a lot of FaceTiming and texting but she cannot wait to see him again,” added the insider.
Swift and Healy have been spotted in public since then
Since attending Swift’s show, Healy was also spotted kissing the singer at Casa Cipriani in New York City. A source said the pair “sat next to each other at a banquette in the lounge,” where they were “cuddling and kissing.”
Healy was also seen sneaking into Swift’s New York City apartment after that, with Swift telling fans at a show earlier that night that she is happier than ever.
“I kind of feel like telling you, I don’t know, I’ve just never been this happy in my life, in all aspects of my life ever before,” Swift told fans while performing at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts.
“And I just want to thank you for being a part of that. It’s not just the tour. I just sort of feel like my life finally feels like it makes sense.”
