One month since the release

‘Flowers’ also just celebrated its one-month anniversary since its release, which Miley Cyrus commemorated in a tweet on Monday.

The singer wrote, “Happy 1 month anniversary of Flowers! To still be celebrating #1 on the Hot 100 & around the world is phenomenal.”

“With Valentine’s Day coming up tomorrow this song feels even more meaningful to me. I hope this holiday is filled with the joy of honoring love in all of its forms.”

She also attached a seven-second clip of an outtake from the ‘Flowers,’ music video, where she is seen lounging by a pool with a shirtless man filling the pool with a hose behind her.

She also followed up with another tweet celebrating self-love.

“It’s human nature to want to give & receive it. Sharing your love is special but it’s always important to save enough of that love for yourself,” she wrote.

“YOU are enough anything more is just extra. Thank you for another incredible week. I LOVE YOU,” she continued.

‘Flowers’ also gained attention by garnering a record-breaking 96 million streams on Spotify within its first week. The song broke its own record yet again by gaining just over 115 million streams on Spotify the following week.

Upcoming album

‘Flowers’ is Cyrus’ first lead single off of her upcoming eighth studio album, ‘Endless Summer Vacation,’ which is set to be released on March 10, 2023. ‘Flowers’ is also the only single Cyrus has released off the upcoming album so far.

‘Endless Summer Vacation’ was first announced on December 12, 2022, with posters with the caption ‘New Year, New Miley,” placed throughout major cities over the world. Cyrus revealed the album cover just into the new year on January 5, which depicts Cyrus wearing a one-piece swimsuit hanging from a helicopter ladder.
