Millie Bobby Brown, actress from Stranger Things, explains why she likes shopping at these popular department stores: “I’m very conscious of money”

Despite blockbuster earnings and luxury brand deals, the girl you may know as simply ‘11′ insists she still enjoys more modest spending sprees.

Update:

Millie Bobby Brown may have become a multimillionaire before her twenties, but she insists her attitude toward money has barely changed since childhood. Speaking with refreshing bluntness – a common thing we see on the Call Her Daddy podcast – she said she is “very conscious of money,” a mindset shaped by early years when her parents were struggling and homeownership felt out of reach.

Even now, as one of the world’s most bankable young actors, she second guesses every purchase and still even calls her parents before splurging. (Note the pants Millie is wearing were a gift from Pamela Anderson).

Millie Bobby Brown’s Target shopping

Her financial caution persisted even as her Stranger Things salary climbed from less than $30,000 per episode to about $300,000 per episode in the final season. Though she can now command eight figure checks for blockbuster films, she recalls her first major treat being a pair of Chanel sunglasses only after parental encouragement. That frugality shows up everywhere from her cosmetics company Florence by Mills to her daily habits, where she gravitates toward Target aisles rather than designer boutiques.

That’s right. While her husband, Jake Bongiovi, may suggest Prada when she mentions needing socks, she insists Target is more her speed. She laughs about his habit of traveling without luggage just so he can shop wherever they land, while she’s more than happy with Amazon Basics.

Her thriftiness even extends to streaming. Despite starring in some of Netflix’s most expensive productions, she still uses her parents’ account rather than pay for her own monthly subscription.

It seems that fame may have changed her fortune... but not her instincts.
