OSCARS 2024
Oscars 2024: Where to watch the nominated movies | Netflix, HBO Max, Disney+...
Haven’t seen ‘Oppenheimer,’ ‘Poor Things,’ or ‘Killer of the Flower Moon’? This is where you can watch this year’s biggest Academy Awards hits.
The nominations for the 96th Academy Awards are in, with a few surprises in some categories and others somewhat more predictable. On Tuesday, “Deadpool 2″ star Zazie Beetz and Jack Quaid of “The Boys” fame revealed which films, actors, directors and more will be in contention to take home statuettes at the 2024 Oscars.
Oppenheimer 2024′ most nominated movie
As expected, Oppenheimer leads the way with 13 nominations, including in four of the “Big Five” categories. As well as Best Picture, Christopher Nolan is the favourite to pick up the Best Director gong, while on-screen stars Cillian Murphy and Emily Blunt are in the hunt for Best Actor and Best Supporting Actress respectively.
Poor Things is a close second on 11, including for Best Picture and Best Adapted Screenplay. Yorgos Lanthimos will go directly up against Nolan in the Best Director category, while Emma Stone, who has already won a Critic’s Choice Award and a Golden Globe in recent weeks, is nominated for Best Actress, along with Mark Ruffalo for Best Supporting Actor.
Killer of the Flower Moon, also up for Best Picture, is the other film to have hit double figures when it comes to nominations. Lily Gladstone is seen by some as the favourite to be named Best Actress, while Martin Scorcese has received his tenth Oscar nomination for Best Director.
