Almost 20 years since they began, pop rock band Panic! At the Disco announced to fans and followers that their journey has come to an end.

The band revealed that the last leg of their ‘Viva Las Vengeance’ tour would be their final time on stage together, and although the news has upset fans many are congratulating frontman Brendon Urie who decided to end the band to focus on his family revealing that he and his wife Sarah Orzechowski are expecting their first child together.

“Well, it’s been a hell of a journey…Growing up in Vegas I could’ve never imagined where this life would take me. So many places all over the world, and all the friends we’ve made along the way,” Urie wrote on Instagram.

“But sometimes a journey must end for a new one to begin. We’ve been trying to keep it to ourselves, though some of you may have heard.. Sarah and I are expecting a baby very soon! The prospect of being a father and getting to watch my wife become a mother is both humbling and exciting. I look forward to this next adventure,”

“That said, I am going to bring this chapter of my life to an end and put my focus and energy on my family, and with that Panic! At The Disco will be no more. Thank you all for your immense support over the years. I’ve sat here trying to come up with the perfect way to say this and I truly can’t put into words how much it has meant to us,”

“Whether you’ve been here since the beginning or are just finding us, it has been a pleasure to not only share the stage with so many talented people but also share our time with you. I am looking forward to seeing everyone in Europe and the UK for one last run together. I love you. I appreciate you. Thank you for existing.

Brendon Urie starting a family

Urie and Sarah Orzechowski first started dating in 2009 after they were introduced through mutual friend Hayley Williams from the band Paramore, and the happy couple finally tied the knot in 2013. Since then the couple has grown together with Sarah going on the road and traveling with Brendan for tour, but now the pair are ready to settle down and expand their family. They officially announced they are expecting their first child together on January 24.

A quick history of Panic! At the Disco

Panic! At The Disco was formed in 2004 when guitarist Ryan Ross and drummer Spencer Smith were in high school. After a few years of being a duo that covered Blink-182 songs Ross and Smith decided to get serious and began to write their own songs and recruited vocalist Brendon Urie and bassist Brent Wilson to join their team.

The group went on to release their debut album A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out in 2005, but after being discovered by Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz, Jon Walker took Wilson’s place in the band making it what it is today.

Since the band first started in 2004 they have gone on to release seven albums and have won multiple awards for their work.

  • 2005: A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out
  • 2008: Pretty. Odd.
  • 2011: Vices & Virtues
  • 2013: Too Weird to Live, Too Rare to Die!
