Prince Harry and Meghan Markle snubbed again by the Royal Family

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been removed from the Queen’s Commonwealth Trust, an organization the couple were the head of prior to stepping away from royal duties in January 2020.

Since that momentous event, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have dropped a series of public bombshells — most notably the 2022 Netflix series ‘Harry and Meghan’, and the 38-year-old’s 2023 memoir, ‘Spare.’

The Sussexes are now estranged from Prince Harry’s family, and with King Charles III’s Coronation looming in May, it adds another layer to the family dynamics.

Prince Harry and Meghan removed from Trust

The Queen’s Commonwealth Trust relaunched their website on Thursday with a brand-new design, and rewrote Prince Harry and Markle’s previous role in the organization.

Prince Harry was appointed the QCT president when the organization was established in 2018, and his wife Meghan Markle took on the role of vice president, with the couple dominating the site’s campaign. The dynamic duo’s names were unceremoniously removed from the website.

The QCT announced the relaunch of their new site on Twitter.

“Our newly re-designed website is now live,” the caption read. “Thanks to the important work of young leaders across the #Commonwealth, we have amazing stories lined up for you.”

“Please take a moment to check it out and let us know what you think.”

What is the Queen’s Commonwealth Trust?

The Queen’s Commonwealth Trust is an organization that honors Queen Elizabeth and her work in the Commonwealth. According to the website, the QCT is meant to “foster international cooperation and trade links between people all over the world.”

It is designed to provide funding and tools for burgeoning Commonwealth leaders, with the goal of aiding them and their communities in the areas of agriculture, education, and employability.

The new website has a nostalgic tone, emphasizing Queen Elizabeth II’s legacy and lifetime of service to the Commonwealth, founded in 1931 and currently has 54 countries.

The home page of the website features a photo of the late Queen Elizabeth II smiling, and her famous quote:

“On our own, we cannot end wars or wipe out injustice, but the cumulative impact of thousands of small acts of goodness can be bigger than we imagine.”

Prince Harry’s royal inheritance

Upon stepping away from royal duties in 2020 and buying a $14 million dollar home in California, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly lived on the $10 million inheritance from his mother, Princess Diana, who died tragically in a car crash in 1997.

Forbes reported Harry is not a beneficiary of any portion of the $100 million left to the royals by the Queen Mother. Unless a member of the Royal Family shares, it will likely not be revealed for at least 90 years whether Prince Harry was left any money by Queen Elizabeth II, his late grandmother, as per royal protocol on sealed documents.
