‘Richard Ramirez: The Night Stalker Tapes’: release date, trailer, how to watch true-crime documentary
Out this month on Peacock, a new docuseries features jail-house interviews with Ramirez, one of the US’s most notorious serial killers.
A forthcoming docuseries takes an “unsettling and thought-provoking” deep dive into the mind of serial killer Richard Ramirez, whose 1980s murder spree led him to be dubbed the ‘Night Stalker’.
Produced by NBC News Studios, Richard Ramirez: The Night Stalker Tapes features death-row interviews with Ramirez, who killed at least 13 people in California between 1984 and 1985. Also known as the ‘Walk-In Killer’ and the ‘Valley Intruder’, Ramirez was sentenced to death for his crimes in 1989, before dying in 2013 as he awaited execution.
“Perfect storm of twisted boyhood influences and drug addiction”
The documentary’s official synopsis reads: “Through exclusive audio interviews with Richard Ramirez on San Quentin’s Death Row, as well as with his family members and his wife - most of which have never been heard before - this documentary explores how a perfect storm of twisted boyhood influences and drug addiction enabled a troubled young man from El Paso, Texas, to become one of the most infamous serial killers in history.”
When does Richard Ramirez: The Night Stalker Tapes premiere? Release date:
The two-part documentary is due out on the streaming service Peacock on Tuesday December 10, 2024. Both episodes are to be released at once.
The Night Stalker Tapes follows 2021’s four-part Netflix series Night Stalker: The Hunt For a Serial Killer.
