Tom Sizemore has been hospitalized in intensive care after suffering a brain aneurysm according to his spokesperson, Charles Lago.

The ‘Saving Private Ryan’ actor was found at his Los Angeles home unconscious at around 2 a.m. on Sunday morning following a medical emergency. He was then transported to an L.A. hospital, where he is under observation.

“He is currently in critical condition and it’s a wait-and-see situation,” Lago told The Hollywood Reporter. “There are no future updates at this time.”

Sizemore has appeared in a number of hit movies

Born in Detroit, the 61-year-old appeared in a number of hit movies during the 1990s and 2000s, including ‘Saving Private Ryan’, ‘Black Hawk Down’, ‘Heat’, ‘Natural Born Killers’ and ‘Pearl Harbor’.

He is perhaps best known for his role in the Second World War movie ‘Saving Private Ryan’, in which he plays Sgt. Mike Horvath. The film stars Tom Hanks as Private John Miller and Matt Damon as Private James Ryan.

The cast also includes Edward Burns, Barry Pepper, Giovanni Ribisi, Vin Diesel, Adam Goldberg and Jeremy Davies.

“Some day we might look back on this and decide that saving Private Ryan was the one decent thing we were able to pull out of this godawful s***ty mess,” Sizemore’s character says near the end of the movie, which went on to win Golden Globe, Academy, BAFTA and Saturn awards.

In 2000, he was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Miniseries or Motion Picture Made for Television for his role in ‘Witness Protection’.

Recently, he appeared in the TV series ‘Cobra Kai’, as well as ‘Twin Peaks’.

He’ll be starring in the science fiction film ‘Impuratus’ next month, in which he’ll play a police detective who is forced to believe in supernatural forces after listening to a death bed confession of a Civil War veteran.
