Shakira and Tom Cruise spotted together at the F1 Miami Grand Prix
Shakira and Tom Cruise are hitting the rumor circuit with their appearance at the Miami Grand Prix.
Shakira and Tom Cruise were spotted together on Sunday at the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix ahead of the start of the race.
The pair were spotted as part of a group of people before they appeared to be spending time getting to know one another in a VIP suite at the event.
Their appearance together came the day after Shakira accepted the Woman of the Year Award at the inaugural Billboard Latin Women in Music Award show, where she delivered a touching speech on the strength of women, and her thoughts on her split from ex-partner Gerard Piqué.
The two spent the race together
While it’s not certain whether Shakira and Cruise are pursuing a relationship, they did spend some time chatting, with one of Shakira’s sons joining the two in their VIP suite.
Shakira was casual, wearing a green cut-out bodysuit with cozy, baggy, green sweatpants and oversized sunglasses.
Meanwhile, the ‘Top Gun’ actor wore a white polo shirt, dark pants, and aviator glasses.
Someone even managed to capture a video of the two as they chatted away.
Shakira transformed her pain into success
Shakira’s appearance at the Miami Grand Prix comes nearly a year after Shakira and Piqué officially split in 2022, following news that Piqué cheated on Shakira after being together for eleven years and having two kids together.
During her acceptance speech at the Billboard Latin Women in Music Award, Shakira gave a heartfelt speech where she spoke about what she’s learned in her life as a woman, particularly what she learned during her split from Piqué, and the strength she’s found during that time.
“This has been a year of seismic changes in my life. I’ve felt more than ever what it means to be a woman,” she began.
“Because it’s been a year where I’ve learned that women are so much stronger than we believe we are. We’re more valiant than we think we are, and we’re more independent than they teach us we are,” she continued.
“There comes a time in every woman’s life when she no longer depends on someone to love or accept herself as she is. The search for the other is replaced by the search for oneself when the desire to be perfect is replaced by the desire to be authentic.
“It doesn’t matter so much if someone is faithful or not; what really matters is if you continue to be faithful to yourself,” she said to resounding cheers.
“I receive this honor with lots of love, but for me, more than celebrating the women of the year, we should celebrate the year of the woman.”
The year started off with Shakira releasing a diss track calling out her ex and his cheating in ‘Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53′.
The song reached the number-one spot in 16 countries and became Shakira’s first single to reach the top ten spot on the Billboard Hot 100 since ‘Beautiful Liar’ with Beyoncé in 2007.
