Olivia Rodrigo lined up for Barcelona and Real Madrid in El Clásico

Since Barcelona finalized its sponsorship agreement with Spotify, the music company’s logo has appeared on the front of the team’s jersey, while also lending its name to the club’s stadium, now known as Spotify Camp Nou.

As part of the deal, it was also agreed that for games against Real Madrid – the so-called Clásico – Spotify would replace its logo with the name or personal brand of a recording artist.

To date, the likes of Drake, Rosalía, The Rolling Stones, Karol G, Coldplay, Travis Scott and Ed Sheeran have featured. For the Clásico on May 10 at Spotify Camp Nou, according to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, the chosen artist to appear on Barcelona’s jersey is Olivia Rodrigo (23), the U.S. singer born in California who built a strong teenage following through her role as Nini Salazar-Roberts in the Disney+ series High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.

There is also hope that she will attend the game in person at Spotify Camp Nou, as other artists have done previously, and according to the report, first-team players have already taken part in promotional photo shoots alongside the singer.
