Shakira promises more attacks on Piqué: “I am not a United Nations diplomat”

“I have been surprised by the possibility of making lemonade out of the sourest of lemons.” With this descriptive phrase, Shakira has defined her latest musical successes during her most challenging personal period, following her breakup with Gerard Piqué, with whom she has two children, Milan and Sasha.
Shakira’s “honeymoon” period
She is currently experiencing a phase in which she describes herself as being in a “honeymoon” in her professional life, feeling “very much in love” with her work, as she expressed yesterday during her participation in the Latin Music Week of Billboard in Miami Beach, Florida, United States. However, she hints that her comments about the former Barcelona defender have not yet come to an end.
“There are many things I want to say, things to explore in the musical realm, but the time will come,” stated the artist from Barranquilla, who sees herself as “very inspired and eager.” This is something that has been greatly influenced by her move to Miami, where she has reconnected with colleagues and friends in the profession. In contrast, her time in Barcelona was characterized by the fact that “many ideas remained unexplored” and by constantly having “one foot on the brakes.” She acknowledges that she went through a “catharsis” to “rise above the challenges.”

Regarding this resilience after the breakup with the former footballer, she also spoke during the event: “It turns out I was less fragile than I thought, and music has been my primary tool for survival,” she revealed before commenting on sweet juice from sour lemons.
She also referred to the globally renowned ‘Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53,’ a song that holds four Guinness World Records. In collaboration with the Argentine producer, she directed her words towards her former partner and his new girlfriend, Clara Chía, becoming a symbol of a moment when “being a woman holds a deeper meaning.”
“They told me, ‘Change the lyrics, that can’t be released,’ and I replied that I’m not a diplomat from the United Nations; I’m a woman, a wounded she-wolf. Nowadays, things are different; no one tells artists who they should associate with or what they should create. Today, everything has changed, and singing in Spanish is the coolest thing.”
