Sydney Sweeney says she’d love to put the gloves on: “I’d totally do a charity bout, that’d be so sick”
The actress played a boxer on the big screen, and now is looking at a pay-per-view option for a good cause.
She recently caught the eye with her transparent dress at Variety’s Power of Women event; she’s told us her thoughts on botox; and she’s given away her status with Scooter Braun. Now, though, Sydney Sweeney has teased the idea of her stepping into the boxing ring for a bout. A real one!
Is Sydney Sweeney actually going to do a boxing match?
She has acted the role of Christy Martin – former boxing champion – in the movie simply titled ‘Christy’, and that seems to have been enough of a taster for Sweeney to now claim she’d be up for throwing, and taking, a few punches… for a good cause.
“I’d totally do a charity bout, that’d be so sick,” she said in a Sportscasting.com interview. Sweeney admitted that during filming she had a thought: “Should I give it all up [acting etc] and fight, because I love this?”
She even added that, “Christy said she’d sign me up. So, this isn’t as hypothetical as you actually think it is. For about two and a half months, I would weight train in the morning for an hour, box three hours in the middle of the day, and then another hour of weight training at night.”
Who would Sydney Sweeney fight in her boxing match?
Clearly, if you’ve bought into her plan, thoughts immediately turn to her potential opponent, but she wasn’t giving anything away on that.
“It’s a surprise. You’ll have to wait. I’m serious. You’ve got to stay tuned for the pay-per-view and you’ll see it. Nobody’s offered to get me into the ring... I have gotten some interesting DMs from some boxers though.
“I think what would get me through a fight is that I can take a punch. I wouldn’t quit.”
She’s been described by many fans as a knockout. Now they can see if she can deliver one.
