Taylor Swift has girls’ night out following Joe Alwyn break up

Taylor Swift has stepped out yet again following her reported breakup with Joe Alwyn. The ‘Anti-Hero’ singer was joined by five of her close gal pals for a night out in New York City on Thursday.

Swift was joined by longtime pals Gigi Hadid, Blake Lively, Alana, Danielle, and Este Haim. She was also spotted out for dinner with Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds earlier in the week.

The ‘Lavender Haze’ singer sported a black minidress with spaghetti straps, black shoes, and sunglasses as she and her girl group were photographed walking down the street. It appears that the pop star is spending her days off from her highly anticipated Eras Tour in New York City.

Busy in NYC

Swift has been spotted having dinner with friends in the city on two more occasions in the past month. Last week, she was spotted leaving the Italian restaurant Via Carota with longtime producer Jack Antoff and his fiancée Margaret Qualley.

Earlier this week, she was spotted tagging along with Ryan Reynolds and his wife Blake Lively to dinner at another Italian restaurant in downtown Manhattan. It seems that the singer is spreading the news of her newfound singleness as fans quickly noticed that her friends have recently unfollowed Joe Alwyn on Instagram.

According to PEOPLE, Swift’s brother, Ryan Reynolds, and all three Haim sisters have unfollowed Alwyn on Instagram. However, Alwyn still follows Swift’s brother Austin and Reynolds.

One devoted Swiftie is keeping track of who unfollows Alwyn, which seemingly coincides with who Swift has been spotted out with recently.

Why did the pair split?

Nearly two weeks after Alwyn and Swift reportedly split, dozens of sources have come forward with theories as to why the couple called it quits. However, neither Alwyn nor Swift have officially commented on why or even confirmed the split.

A source for PEOPLE claims that the Grammy Award winner and actor broke up due to “differences in their personalities.”

“They’ve had rough patches before and always worked things out, so friends thought they would take some time apart but eventually come back together,” said the source, noting that “ultimately” Swift and Alwyn “weren’t the right fit for one another.”

According to Entertainment Tonight, the split was amicable and “not dramatic.” A source for the outlet claims, “The relationship had just run its course. It’s why [Alwyn] hasn’t been spotted at any shows.”
