Taylor Swift has been given two big honors by the city of Tampa, Florida as she gears up for the next stop of her ‘Eras Tour’.

The singer took Easter weekend off from performing, but she’ll be back on stage for three shows at the Raymond James Stadium from Thursday, April 13 through Saturday, April 15.

How Tampa honored Taylor Swift

Previous cities have made big gestures to honor Swift ahead of her tour stops, and Tampa is no different.

In fact, the city may have raised the bar thanks to Mayor Jane Castor.

“We know Glendale changed its name, Arlington made a street sign, and Vegas illuminated their Gateway Arches, but here in Tampa, we’ve got a reputation to uphold,” Castor said in a video message to Swift.

“We want to go bigger. So I want to present you with a key to the city and invite you to be our honorary mayor for a day.

“Mayor Swift has a nice ring to it. We can’t wait to welcome you and your fans to Tampa (Taylor’s Version).”

Along with the two honors from Castor, the city of Tampa will welcome Swift and her ‘Eras Tour’ in other ways as well.

The Old City Hall, the Tampa River Walk and the bridges found in the downtown area will all be illuminated red for the concerts.

Big changes in Swift’s life

Swift’s upcoming performances come after some big news over the weekend with word that her and boyfriend Joe Alwyn have split.

“Joe has struggled with Taylor’s level of fame and the attention from the public,” a source told People.

“The differences in their personalities have also become harder to ignore after years together. They’ve grown apart.”

Following news of the split, Swift fans were quick to point out that she recently changed the ‘Eras Tour’ setlist for her shows at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

The singer swapped out ‘Invisible String’ for ‘The 1′ for the ‘Folklore’ inspired section of her show.

The song looks at life and past romances with a positive approach, all while delivered in a sad but humorous tone from the perspective of one of Swift’s friends.

Time will tell if Swift makes any further changes to her setlist following her split from Alwyn when she performs in Tampa on Thursday.
