The singer is set to make three stops in Arlington, Texas this weekend for her highly anticipated Eras Tour.

Another stop on the ‘Eras Tour’ and another ceremonial gesture from a city honoring Taylor Swift. The superstar will be making three stops in Arlington, Texas this weekend and the city has decided to make the events extra special by temporarily renaming a street in honor of her.

Arlington has renamed a street near the AT&T Stadium, where Swift will be performing this weekend. ‘Randol Mill Road’ will be temporarily changed to ‘Taylor Swift Way’, though this isn’t the only grand gesture from Arlington.

Swift’s key to the city

Arlington has not only decided to give Swift her own key to the city, it will also be lighting up the four-story steel sculptures in front of City Hall in bright red lights for the weekend in honor of Swift’s arrival.

In a press release, the office of Arlington wrote that it would be “participating in a friendly competition with other U.S. cities” that have welcomed Taylor with other grand gestures. Swift will be performing three sold-out shows this weekend at the AT&T Stadium located just outside of Dallas.

The city will also be honoring the cat mom superstar by hosting a Taylor Swift-themed adoption special. Residents can adopt a pet for $40 in honor of Swift’s 40 Top 10 Hits, and VIP Pets will have a $9 adoption fee in honor of Swist 9 Number One hits.

Previous offerings to Swift

This isn’t the first grand gesture done by a city to welcome the mega star during the ‘Eras Tour’ so far. The singer kicked off her tour in Glendale, Arizona which temporarily changed its name to ‘Swift City’ for her two-date stop.

For her Las Vegas stop, the LED structure on Las Vegas Boulevard was changed to the Eras’ color scheme.

After noticing the increasingly elaborate city gestures for the ‘All Too Well’ singer, fans have taken to Twitter to joke about her various offerings.
