Taylor Swift linked to take lead in Scarlett Johansson’s Marvel movie

The A-list actress that became Black Widow will now produce a film for Marvel starring The Phantom Blonde, a character created in the 1940s.

It appears that we will have to wait until 25 July, the release date of ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’, to find out if Taylor Swift indeed makes a cameo in the film starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman. However, in the event of a negative outcome in that particular role, it does not necessarily mean that the superstar singer will not make an appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, albeit not as Dazzler, the role that has been rumored in recent months, but as The Blonde Phantom.

What is Scarlett Johansson’s new Marvel movie?

The Blonde Phantom is Scarlett Johansson’s first project for Marvel as a producer, and the crime-fighting character is the alter ego of Louise Grant, the secretary (at least initially) of detective Mark Mason. He is unaware of the protagonist’s double identity.

Despite lacking superpowers, she is a supremely athletic woman with great skill in hand-to-hand combat. She debuted in issue number 11 of the All Select Comics series in 1946, created by Stan Lee and Syd Shores. After remaining absent for many years, she returned in The Sensational She-Hulk in the late 1980s.

Taylor Swift and Scarlett Johansson

According to journalist and insider Daniel Ritchman, the role of The Blonde Phantom is one that Kevin Feige - president of Marvel Studios - and the American singer have discussed for her incorporation into the MCU. This signing has been speculated for a long time since Swift was seen with Reynolds, his wife and also actress Blake Lively, and Hugh Jackman, at a Kansas City Chiefs game, the NFL team where the singer’s current beau, tight end Travis Kelce, plays.

Even if this deal eventually becomes official, it is still possible that we will see Swift in ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ on 25 July, and Marvel has demonstrated that, thanks to the multiverses, absolutely anything is possible.
