The Academy Awards brings together the most famous names in Hollywood for a celebration of entertainment excellence — but many celebrities will say that the best part of the night is actually the afterparties.

Though there are a litany of pre-Oscars events throughout the week, with Gucci hosting an event to celebrate Miley Cyrus as the new face of the brand, as well as her latest album release.

Armani will host an event to honor Michelle Yeoh, and there is also The Night Before event with George Clooney, Angela Bassett, Cate Blanchett, Ana de Armas, and Jamie Lee Curtis, the hottest parties are the night of.

Oscar night party list

After the Oscars, which begin at 8 p.m. ET take place on Sunday night, the industry is hosting star-studded parties all across town, including Oscars Night at the Museum, to be held at the Academy Museum in LA.

Elton John and David Furnish will host the Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards viewing gala in West Hollywood. The event will see Rina Sawayama perform and feature guests Eric McCormack and Michaela Jaé Rodriguez.

Byron Allen and the Allen Media Group are hosting their fifth annual Children’s Hospital benefit for an LA hospital. Diana Ross will perform and Howie Mandel is to host the event at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel.

The Academy’s official afterparty, the Governors Ball, will be held at the The Ray Dolby Ballroom in Hollywood. The menu will be overseen by chefs Wolfgang Puck and Eric Klein, pastries are from Kamel Guechida and Garry Larduint, and champagne and other drinks will come from Champagne Fleur de Miraval and Clarendelle.

There is also The Party, hosted by Gucci and Guy Oseary. The event is held at a private LA residence and will have music by D-Nice and guest portraits by artist JR.

There are also afterparties put on by Paramount Pictures, Warner Bros., and the A24 afterparty at Soho House in West Hollywood.

The 2023 Academy Awards will take place on March 12 at 8 p.m. ET.
