The Billboard Music Awards 2024 take place on Thursday, 12 December, with Taylor Swift looking to go out on her own as the most decorated BMA artist of all time.

The Eras Tour star has plenty of opportunities to add to the 39 Billboard Music Awards she has received so far in his career, as she has received 17 nominations in 16 different categories, including the all-important Top Artist.

Yet that isn’t enough to make her this year’s most nominated musician. That status belongs to Zach Bryan, with the country singer-songwriter up for 18 awards, which also includes Top Artist.

Is Taylor Swift performing at the Billboard Music Awards 2024?

Despite being the star name on the list of nominees, there is no suggestion Swift, who has just finished performing on the Eras Tour after 21 months, will be performing at the awards. That would be quite the surprise…

For the second year in a row, the ceremony, hosted by actress and comedian Michelle Buteau, will be prerecorded at different venues around the world, from where a number of artists will be sending in live performances.

Swift isn’t expected to be one of them, but the Billboard Music Awards have confirmed a number of others.

Who is performing at the Billboard Music Awards 2024?

Coldplay, the only artist in history other than Swift to have a concert tour that has collected over $1 billion in revenue, are arguably the main attraction, although there will be plenty of intrigue surrounding Linkin Park, who will be making their highest-profile appearance since new singer Emily Armstrong replaced Chester Bennington, who died in 2017.

Also on the bill are rappers Jelly Roll and Shaboozey, Mexican band Fuerza Regida, country singer Megan Moroney, K-pop boy bands SEVENTEEN and Stray Kids, R&B star Teddy Swims and South African pop songstress Tyla.
