‘The Golden Bachelorette’ season 1 cast: complete list of suitors
After the success of The Golden Bachelor, it’s time for the men to woo The Golden Bachelorette. Here are the contestants vying for the heart of Joan Vassos.
Joan Vassos lost her chance at finding love on The Golden Bachelor when she had to leave the show to be with her daughter who had given birth.
Now the 61-year-old has a second chance to meet a partner as she becomes the one whose heart will be at stake on the premiere season of The Golden Bachelorette. Vassos will likely not rush into marriage after The Golden Bachelor Gerry Turner broke up with winner Theresa Nist after only there months of marriage.
Vassos lost her husband after being married for more than three decades. She’s a school administrator with four children and three grandchildren.

A total of 24 men will be vying for the affection of Vassos. The contestants include an army veteran, a rancher, a fire department chief, and a familiar face to avid followers of The Bachelor franchise: Mark Anderson, who was introduced as the father of Kelsey Anderson during Joey Graziadei’s season.
