The new Ghostbusters logo that will leave you with the chills
A look inside the new Ghostbusters that will hit theaters later this year...
Fans of the Ghostbusters movies will know that Ghostbusters Day is celebrated on June 8. The date was selected because the first installment of the saga was released on that date in 1985. The franchise tends to use the date to celebrate by giving all kinds of announcements and surprises. And, of course, this year is no different.
A poster that will give you chills
Ghostbusters 4, as we will call the latest installment of the franchise since, since at the moment, we only know its code name, “Firehouse,” has released its first promotional image: a logo. The poster shows off the classic Ghostbusters logo but with an icy twist. The person in charge of the revelation was Jason Reitman, producer and co-writer of the film.
He had already expressed his gratitude in the first installment: “A few years ago, my father handed me the keys to Ecto-1, and together we made ‘Ghostbusters: Afterlife.’ Words can never express how grateful I am to be able to make this film with my father.” Reitman also spoke about the film’s director Gil Kenan, saying “of this new installment: “It’s now time to hand those keys to my creative partner and fellow Ghostbuster Gil Kenan, a brilliant director who will keep the Spengler spirit alive. I only hope to provide him with the same productive support and help that my father taught me.”
The little we know about the new movie
Gil Kenan, screenwriter of ‘Ghostbusters: Afterlife’, repeats as director in the film that will feature Paul Rudd (Ant-Man) as Gary Grooberson, Carrie Coon (Ghostbusters: Beyond) as Callie Spengler, and her children Trevor and Phoebe, Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things) and Mckenna Grace (Ghostbusters: Beyond), respectively.
Also, thanks to the latter, we have a glimpse of the new set and the famous fire station characteristic of this saga.
