2. Ricky Martin

The Latin pop sensation, best known for smash-hit tracks such as “Livin' La Vida Loca”, was also born on 24 December. This year, the Puerto Rican celebrates his 53rd birthday.

3. Ryan Seacrest

The television and radio presenter, who this year took over as host of Wheel of Fortune, brings up his half century this Christmas Eve. On 31 December, Seacrest will anchor Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin' Eve for the 20th time.

The author behind the Twilight series, Meyer was also born on 24 December, and this year will blow out 51 candles on her birthday cake. Having stepped back from the limelight, she now leads a private existence away from the public eye.

5. Dr. Anthony Fauci

An immunologist who became a household name during the covid-19 pandemic, Dr. Fauci turns 84 this Christmas Eve. In 2022, he stepped down as director of the US’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, after more than five decades with the body.

6. Lee Daniels

Daniels, a filmmaker who earned a Best Director nomination for his critically acclaimed 2009 movie Precious, celebrates his 65th birthday this Christmas Eve.

7. Annie Lennox

Singer Annie Lennox, who rose to prominence in the 1980s as one half of the British pop duo Eurythmics, has a big birthday coming up: this Christmas Day, the Scot turns 70.

8. Justin Trudeau

Canada’s prime minister since 2015, Trudeau will tomorrow celebrate Christmas and his birthday all at once. Born in 1971, the Ottawa native turns 53 this year.

9. Sissy Spacek

An actor who has amassed some 70 film and TV credits in a screen career that began in the early 1970s, Spacek celebrates her 75th birthday this Christmas Day. The Texan is an Oscar winner, having scooped Best Actress for her role in the 1980 movie Coal Miner’s Daughter.

10. Dido

The British singer, best known for hit songs such as “Thank You” - a track that was memorably sampled on rapper Eminem’s track “Stan” - is the last Christmas baby to make our list. Dido, whose full name is Dido Florian Cloud de Bounevialle O’Malley Armstrong, turns 53 on 25 December.
