Even the big fish are joining in the picket lines to support the writers.

‘Saturday Night Live’ star Tina Fey, known for starting off her comedy career as a writer herself, crossed the picket lines Tuesday to support Hollywood screenwriters. She was joined by the likes of Seth Meyers and Fred Armisen, among other ‘SNL’-ers.

The Writers Guild of America strike went into effect Monday, May 1 at midnight.

‘SNL’ takes on NYC

The ‘Saturday Night Live’ crew joined a rally at Silvercup Studios in Queens, New York City, with photos published by the Daily Mail.

Fey wore fan gear for her series ‘Only Murders in the Building’ and held a picket sign that read “Fair contract” on one side and “Spread the wealth” on the other.

Meyers meanwhile held a sign that said “Fair pay for a writing day” and “Pencils down! Writers on strike” on either side.

Armisen carried a SAG-AFTRA Supports WGA sign.

The rally was one of the most important movements in the WGA strike.

Another ‘SNL’ alum, Pete Davidson, was also seen picketing with the WGA, earlier in the week at the Spumoni Gardens in Brooklyn, where he brought pizza for the striking writers.

From New York to California

While the rally went on in NYC Tuesday, California is where most of the strike is taking place.

Industry figures such as Bella Heathcote and Zoe Lister-Jones, Eric Christian Olsen, Jacob Tobia, and Michael McKean and his wife, Annette O’Toole, joined picket lines in Hollywood this week.

The celebrities held signs that read “Unions Stand Together” and “I flew from Paris to strike”, as well as several SAG-AFTRA signs.
