Oasis have, as you may have heard, announced a reunion tour that will see them travel the world together and perform as one for the first time since their heartbreaking separation over a decade ago.

Since the announcement of the reunion, excitement has bubbled up and down, with fans going crazy in both directions: tickets sold out in a flash despite the controversy surrounding ‘dynamic pricing’, which saw £135 standing tickets for the UK and Ireland tour shoot all the way up to £337.50.

Now, however, the group have expanded their tour to cover the US, Canada and Mexico: “America. Oasis is coming,” the band’s official Twitter account read, “You have one last chance to prove that you loved us all along.”

Ahead of the announcement, the brothers had teased the news on billboards in New York, Toronto, Chicago and other US cities, saying “be careful what you wish for”.

Oasis will play at Toronto Rogers Stadium on 24 August, Chicago Soldier Field on 28 August, New Jersey MetLife Stadium on 31 August, Los Angeles Rose Bowl Stadium on 6 September, and Mexico City Estadio GNP Seguros on 12 September. Supporting them on this leg of the tour will be Cage the Elephant.

How can I buy tickets to see Oasis in the USA?

Tickets will go on sale Friday, October 4th at 12pm local time via a ballot, with the Oasis official website saying “We strongly advise that those wishing to purchase tickets register in advance of the sale with Ticketmaster... Registration for the presale is open until Tuesday, October 1st at 8am ET. General ticket onsale will begin Friday, October 4th at 12pm local time and will be available from Ticketmaster.”

How much do Oasis tickets cost in the USA? Will there be dynamic pricing?

The tickets will not, unlike what happened in Europe, be subject to dynamic pricing. In a statement, the band’s management said: “It is widely accepted that dynamic pricing remains a useful tool to combat ticket touting and keep prices for a significant proportion of fans lower than the market rate and thus more affordable.

“But, when unprecedented ticket demand (where the entire tour could be sold many times over at the moment tickets go on sale) is combined with technology that cannot cope with that demand, it becomes less effective and can lead to an unacceptable experience for fans.”

As well as their newly announced leg of the tour, the band plan to play in other locations across the globe, outside of Europe and North America.
