What Britney Spears’ divorce from Sam Asghari means for their five dogs
The couple recently announced the formal separation and both have reached an agreement on what they will do with the joint pets.
On 16 August, Sam Asghari filed for divorce from Britney Spears, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their separation. The singer and the actor are parting ways after 14 months of marriage and over sx years together.
Spears and Asghari got engaged in September 2021 after nearly five years of dating. Less than a year later, in June 2022, the couple got married during a ceremony at the singer’s mansion in Thousand Oaks, California. While there are still several uncertainties regarding the financial agreements the couple will reach, as well as a potential challenge to the prenuptial agreement by Asghari, the couple has decided what will happen with the pets they share.
Britney Spears and Sam Asghari reach dog divorce agreement
According to TMZ, Britney and Sam have come to an agreement on who will keep the five dogs they share between them.
As per the source, Asghari will keep Porsha, a Doberman that the actor purchased for Britney as a protective measure. On the other hand, Britney will retain her Australian Shepherd, Sawyer, her Yorkie, Hannah, and two other smaller dogs.
Sources told the outlet that both Sam and Britney are content with the agreement on how the dogs were divided up.
What Britney Spears and Sam Asghari have said
Asghari was the first to break the silence about the divorce. “After 6 years of love and commitment to each other, my wife and I have decided to end our journey together,” he wrote.
“We will hold onto the love and respect we have for each other and I wish her the best always. Shit happens. Asking for privacy seems ridiculous so I will just ask for everyone including media to be kind and thoughtful.”
On the other hand, the singer stated the following:
“As everyone knows, Hesam and I are no longer together … 6 years is a long time to be with someone so, I’m a little shocked but … I’m not here to explain why because its honestly nobody’s business !!!
“But, I couldn’t take the pain anymore honestly !!! In some sort of telepathic way I have been receiving so many messages that melt my heart from friends and I thank you !!! I’ve been playing it strong for way too long and my Instagram may seem perfect but it’s far from reality and I think we all know that !!! I would love to show my emotions and tears on how I really feel but some reason I’ve always had to hide my weaknesses !!! If I wasn’t my dad’s strong soldier, I would be sent away to places to get fixed by doctors !!!

Sam Asghari accuses Britney Spears of infidelity
Asghari stated that Spears “got together with at least one of the male members of the staff” working at her home, according to TMZ. Sources told the outlet that the model allegedly became aware of the infidelity after discovering images of the staff member and Spears “together in a compromising position.”
Asghari also mentioned that the singer asked another member of her staff to film a video of her naked, as per the informant. The actor also accused Spears of hitting him.
