The radio-show playlist celebrates 2025 Commonwealth Day on March 10 with playlist entitled: ‘The King’s Music Room’. The show will feature Charles’ favourite music from the Commonwealth where the monarch also outlines the role music has played in his life.
In the trailer for ‘The King’s Music Room', Charles claims: “Throughout my life, music has meant a great deal to me. It has a remarkable ability to bring happy memories, to comfort us in times of sadness, and to take us to distant places,” he says in the trailer.
“But perhaps, above all, it can lift our spirits to such a degree, and all the more so when it brings us together in celebration. In other words, it brings us joy.”
“This seemed such an interesting an innovative way to celebrate Commonwealth Day this year”.
