A bumper cash prize and a major record deal are once more on the line on the US reality-television show The Voice, whose 26th season is about to premiere.

A singing contest that made its debut on American TV in 2011, The Voice sees a group of previously-unknown contestants battle it out to win a contract with the record label Universal Music Group. What’s more, the winner takes home a cheque for $100,000.

Guided by a group of celebrity coaches, The Voice’s contestants will look to progress from the ‘blind auditions’ at the start of the season, all the way through to the competition’s finale. “In the end, one unforgettable new singer will be crowned The Voice‚” the programme’s showrunners say.

Who are the coaches on season 26 of The Voice?

In the new season of The Voice, country legend Reba McEntire and singer-songwriter Gwen Stefani will return as coaches, while crooner Michael Bublé and rapper Snoop Dogg will be newcomers on the roster of mentors.

When is the premiere of The Voice season 26?

The first episode of the new season of The Voice is scheduled to air today, Monday September 23, 2024, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.

Viewers in the US can watch the show on NBC, while every episode will be available to Peacock subscribers the day after it is first broadcast. NBC will also be airing the season premiere at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on Friday September 27.

Who is the host of The Voice?

Carson Daly, who has anchored every season of The Voice since its premiere 13 years ago, will be back as presenter. Daly, 51, is also a co-host of NBC’s morning-TV show Today.

The contestants on season 26 of The Voice will be vying to succeed Asher HaVon as the reality show’s champion. In May, HaVon became the first openly LGBTQ+ participant to win the contest when he beat Josh Sanders to the crown.
