BIG BROTHER 26

When is ‘Big Brother’? Date, times and how to watch Season 26 on TV and stream online

The 26th season of the reality series returns to CBS this week, with a number of new features, including the world’s first holographic communications platform.

Big Brother returns to our screens this week with a special two-night premiere set to air on Wednesday 17 and Thursday 18 July, kicking off Season 26 (BB26). One of the key themes of BB26 is Artificial Intelligence as AI takes over the House which promises to make it an unpredictable stay for the 16, or possibly 17 houseguests in this 26th season of the hit reality series.

AI comes to Big Brother

Proto Hologram, the world’s first and only holographic communications platform, will be at the fore, blurring the lines even further between reality and illusion. Every move will be recorded by 94 HD cameras and 113 microphones installed inside the Big Brother house.

“From summer camp, to tech, to the multiverse, ‘Big Brother’ loves to put a twist on topical and pop culture themes. This summer’s ‘BB AI’ theme promises to bring the fun, the comedy and the unexpected game play that is a hallmark of ‘Big Brother” said executive producers Allison Grodner and Rich Meehan.

Another new feature this year is that the houseguests will have the opportunity to vote in a 17th houseguest. Among the guests we already know will be entering the house are celebrity chef Lisa Weintraub from Los Angeles, Kenny Kelley - a former undercover cop from Boston who at 52 is the oldest guest and Cedric Hodges, a 21-year-old former US Marine, who is the youngest.

CBS will air a special two-night premiere to kickstart season 26 on Wednesday 17 July and Thursday 18 July. Both one-hour episodes will be broadcast from 9-10 p.m. ET/PT on the CBS Television Network and available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+.

Further episodes will air at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on Sundays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, featuring live evictions, according to the network. At the end of each week, one of the contestants will be voted out of the house, with the last remaining guest to receive a bumper $750,000 cash prize when the series concludes with a final 90-minute episode on Sunday 13 October.
