‘The Squid Game’ returns in style

Hwang Dong-hyuk will once again get behind the camera to direct the series that made him go down in history as the first Asian to win an Emmy for best director for a drama series.

He won the award at the 74th edition of the ceremony back in 2022, and he hopes to repeat the feat with this new lineup of episodes.

“Three years after winning Squid Game, player 456 abandons his plans to go to America and returns with a single goal in mind,” the production company says in its official description.

“Gi-hun dives back into the mysterious survival game to compete against new players for a prize of 45.6 billion won in another life-or-death adventure.” The lead character seeks revenge and fights to end the games once and for all.
