Justin Bieber last performed live right at the start of February this year, having been out for almost a year. He played a short set at Drake’s History Club to 2,500 fans for the ‘Drew House x Toronto Maple Leafs’ show. The Canadian artist treated fans to a set of hits and remixes ahead of the 2024 NHL All-Star Weekend.

The pop icon cancelled all of the remaining dates of his Justice World Tour back in September 2022. He said he had been suffering from facial paralysis after being diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome.

Since then he made brief appearances on stage, such as Don Toliver’s Rolling Loud set in March 2023, but had not performed since.

At the gig in Toronto, Bieber was back on form, performing a remix of SZA’s Snooze as well as Peaches, Hold On and Ghost.

Fans have been speculating about a return to performing from Bieber, after he uploaded photos of himself rehearsing.

Bieber a possibility at Super Bowl Halftime Show

Justin Bieber is in Las Vegas for the Super Bowl, and was spotted attending the Fanatics Super Bowl party, in Sin City, held at Marquee Dayclub at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas on Saturday.

His presence has fuelled rumors that he could be making a surprise special guest appearance at Usher’s Halftime Show.

Usher and Bieber go way back, with Usher playing a big role in launching Bieber’s career, together with manager Scooter Braun. Bieber was just 13 when Braun took him to Atlanta to record demo tapes, and within a week he was singing with Usher. Bieber then signed to Raymond Braun Media Group, a joint venture between Braun and Usher.

In 2010, Bieber released Somebody to Love, with a remix featuring Usher.

Usher has talked about how he helped Bieber deal with fame and his public image when he became a smash-hit phenomenon.
