“And so I watch as you walk Into some bar called The Black Dog” is the lyric from the track with Lily Bottomley, the pub’s events and social media manager claiming that the buzz started online last week before the double album was released on Friday with a number of tracks sneaking out online before the official 19 April release date.

The bar has cheekily the line ‘home to Tortured Poet, Taylor Swift’ on their Instagram bio.

Such has been boom in interest in the bar located on 112 Vauxhall Road, that a bespoke line of Taylor Swift inspired merchandise is set to be generated as Swift fans planning on visiting the English capital now adding the bar to the list of ‘must sees’ in the city.

The bulk of Swift fans feel the song relates to former British ex-boyfriend, Matty Healy from the band The 1975 with many of the tracks on The Tortured Poets Department heavily influenced by former relationships with both Healy and actor Joe Alwyn.
