Who are Diana Keaton’s heirs? This is how the actress’s estate could be distributed
The famous film star passed away at the age of 79.
Famous Hollywood film star Diane Keaton has died at the age of 79, leaving behind a huge legacy in the world of entertainment.
As well as performing leading roles in a number of films, Keaton also made a name for herself behind the camera, stepping into the role of producer and director across a career that spanned decades.
One of Hollywood’s most famous faces, she became a household name after her performance in “The Godfather”, where she played Kay Adams, the girlfriend of mobster Michael Corleone (Al Pacino).
With her death comes the question of her fortune, which she amassed over the years thanks to her supreme talent and dedication to the arts. While we don’t know who she will bequeath her fortune to — and to be honest it’s not a question that should entrance the public — she leaves behind two children, Dexter and Duke, both of whom she adopted in her middle age.
It was in 1996 when Diane, who had already turned 50, chose to adopt her daughter Dexter, who is now 29. Five years later, she decided to adopt another youngster, son Duke, now 25. “Having children is so much more important than everything else I have done,” she affirmed. “When you’re a parent the entire landscape of your life is entirely obliterated by them.”
Speaking to Ladies Home Journal in 2008, Keaton admitted that “I didn’t think that I was ever going to be prepared to be a mother... Motherhood was not an urge I couldn’t resist, it was more like a thought I’d been thinking for a very long time. So I plunged in.”
