Cooper, who is up for Best Actor for Maestro, is in the Dolby Theatre in L.A. with his mother, who is a veteran of Award shows. Host Jimmy Kimmel joked about the fact Cooper always brings his mother to the Award shows and wondered if Cooper is working on something about Freud. And also cheekily asked how many times can you bring your mother as a date before you’re dating your mother.
