Who would win in a fight between Daemon Targaryen and Jon Snow? The House of the Dragon battles

Although we are only one season into the series, many of the protagonists of ‘House of the Dragon’ have already won the hearts of ‘Game of Thrones’ fans. This is especially true for Daemon Targaryen, who seems to echo Jaime Lannister – a character initially perceived as ruthless and remorseless, but who over time evolves into one of the most charismatic and, dare we say, loveable.

As a result, fans often speculate about who would win in a sword fight between characters from both series. The latest imaginary crossover pits Daemon Targaryen against one of the main protagonists of the original series, Jon Snow. Who would emerge victorious? Matt Smith, the British actor who portrays Daemon, has no doubt.

“Come on... mate, I’ve got a dragon,” Smith begins, making it clear what would tip the, ahem, scales. “I have a lot of respect for Jon Snow, but don’t get it twisted ... I’d f*ck [him] up.” He didn’t engage with the non-dragon idea, and our guess is that Jon would have a pretty solid chance if only blades involved.

When does ’The House of the Dragon’ return?

If you are eager for the series to return, you’ll likely remember that the conflict between Alicent Hightower and Rhaenyra Targaryen is at a boiling point.

King Viserys’s decision to name his daughter as heir enraged his wife, Alicent, who then declared her son, the malevolent Aegon II Targaryen, as king. This sparked a war known in the ‘A Song of Ice and Fire’ universe as the Dance of the Dragons, which will unfold in the upcoming second season. The new season premieres on August 21 on HBO MAX.
