After seven years of a relationship together, four of them married, Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner are on the edge of divorce. This news comes from TMZ, who say they have been told by a source close to the celebrities.
According to information revealed by Insider, the Jonas Brothers member met with two expert divorce lawyers in Los Angeles and is about to present legal documents to put an end to his marriage with the Game of Thrones actress.
The news arrives a year after the pair welcomed their second child together and just months after they sold their Miami mansion, which they acquired in 2022.
Why are Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner splitting up?
According to the source, Sophie and Joe have had “serious problems” over at least a six-month period, which has led the Leave Before You Love Me singer to consider separation.
Also, it has been made known that, over the past 3 months, Joe has been taking care of the children “practically all the time” despite the fact that his band are in the middle of a tour, in the same way as Taylor Swift on The Eras Tour.
If it felt as though on first glance everything was going swimmingly between the ex-Disney boy and the famous actress, the truth is that it was spotted on social media that Joe was not wearing his wedding ring during his most recent shows, while Sophie was seen without hers on a photo published by one of her friends on Instagram.
Adding to that, the fans also noted the absence of Sophie during Joe’s 34th birthday celebrations on August 15. However, the X-Men actress shared a series of throwbacks in which she wished him a happy birthday, something which served to calm the rumours of a split in that moment.

Joe and Sophie crossed paths in 2016 thanks to a couple of mutual friends. A few months later they began a relationship and after just a year they announced their engagement. The pair tied the knot in 2019 during a ceremony celebrated in Las Vegas.
In 2020, Joe and Sophie welcomed their first daughter, Willa, and in 2022 they had their second child, whose identity has not been revealed. Now, one year after extending their family, the pair are set to divorce.
As of the time of writing, neither Sophie nor Joe have said anything public regarding their relationship.
