Star performer Taylor Swift is in the United Kingdom for her hugely successful Eras Tour, and her fans have been expecting her to announce the release of Reputation (Taylor’s Version) during one of her concerts.

On Saturday night, they thought the moment had finally come, when she sang the last song from the “Reputation” album that she hadn’t sung yet on the Eras Tour, entitled “I Did Something Bad.”

Why did fans expect the announcement of Reputation (Taylor’s Version) at Taylor Swift’s concert in Wembley?

Swifties believed that when the performer finally sang this song, she would follow it up with an announcement of the re-release of her sixth album that was launched in 2017.

Aside from theorizing that she would announce the re-recording after she had sung all the songs from the album, there were some other clues that fans thought pointed to what they had been waiting for.

Clues or wishful thinking?

According to Bustle, fans believed that the fact that Swift changed the title of “thanK you, aIMee” (highlighting the letters KIM) to “thank You, aimEe” (highlighting the letters YE) indicated she was on the brink of releasing Reputation (Taylor’s Version).

The singer also wore a t-shirt saying “A lot going on at the moment” at her Wembley concert on Aug. 15, which seemed to allude to something big on the verge of taking place, which fans again thought to mean she was close to dropping the album.

Despite all the anticipation and the excitement, Swift did not announce anything at Wembley, so Swifties will just have to wait a little bit longer before they can get their hands on Reputation (TV).
