Why has Madonna postponed her tour? What happens to her concerts now?
It was revealed that the global star had to spend time in intensive care in New York after contracting a bacterial infection, and her fans are worried.
The world reknowned singer Madonna is currently in fragile health after contracting a bacterial infection. She had to be intubated in an emergency at a hospital in New York. Consequently, she will have to postpone the start of her upcoming tour, which was supposed to include a visit to Mexico.

This news has raised concerns among the public, primarily regarding Madonna’s health but it also questions over the scheduled concerts, including some in Mexico in January 2024. The artist’s manager, Guy Oseary, provided an update on her condition, stating, “On Saturday June 24, Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection which lead to a several day stay in the ICU...”
He added: “At this time we will need to pause all commitments, which includes the tour.” More details will follow regarding a restart of the tour.
What Madonna concerts are postponed?
The 64-year-old music icon was scheduled to commence the North America leg of her Celebration world tour, commemorating the 40th anniversary of her musical career, starting in Vancouver, Canada, on 15 July. What will happen to the concerts in Mexico?
The singer has a series of performances scheduled for January 2024, and although there are still a few months left, so far, it is not known what will happen and if they will have to be rescheduled, after the adjustment is made.
